About Us

Boogie Management was established in 2006 by
Simon & Carina Skinner, both highly regarded
in their respective fields.

We are a broad ranging entertainment production company and artiste booking agency based in the UK – located in Surbiton, Surrey.

The company’s activity ranges from corporate & theatre production, TV, act management to shipping lines.  With steady organic growth Boogie Management has quickly become one of the new generation of leading entertainment providers.

Meet the Team

Simon Skinner – Managing Director

Simon left school at the first opportunity and with bass guitar in hand marched his way around the world several times with various bands and pop stars of the day, even playing on (one) hit record in the process.

After coming to his senses he realized that he was actually better on the telephone than the bass and rapidly got a real job in a West End production company. He has been managing the Boogie ever since.

Carina Skinner – Creative Director

Carina has fulfilled two highly successful careers in television and theatre and now puts all her experience into creating entertainment for Boogie Management’s clients.

Fifteen years at BBC television saw her producing and filming with some of the biggest stars in the world whilst working on flagship BBC programmes, such as ‘Children in Need’ and the now legendary Saturday morning TV show ‘Going Live’.

Carina has produced many types of live theatre ranging from stand-up to musical theatre and her personal favourite – pantomime.

Jo Burchell - Artist Booking Manager

Jo has enjoyed a unique career in entertainment having gained a First Class BA Honours in Music and starting out as a budding vocalist. From a child Jo framed her life and love around live performance and was always busy in a new production, variety show or vocal project…

Having always found the ‘behind the scenes’ nature of the industry alluring, Jo went on to work behind the scenes at music festivals, workshops and events to embrace this love, then further joined the entertainment booking industry in 2011 and has not looked back since. With a mic and macbook in hand, Jo has created a strong and reputable name for herself within the industry and enjoys working across the spectrum within Boogie Management.

Paul Lyon - Operations Manager

Paul started his career in entertainment as a performer. From leading production teams overseas, to working with original music composition and production, the buzz of live entertainment had truly taken hold!

Paul moved into entertainment management and climbed through the ranks from team leader in five star resorts, to cruise director on deep-sea vessels travelling to stunning destinations around the world. Paul now brings his broad experience to Boogie Management, and is excited to be working as Operations Manager overseeing fleet operations and Light Entertainment programming.

Tyler Davis-Smith - Operations Manager (Middle East)

Tyler trained as a performer at London School of Musical Theatre and also gained a Diploma in Musical Theatre Performance from London College of Music. Following on from training Tyler went on to tour theatres all over the world including London, as well as working as a vocalist on cruise ships and overseas.

Alongside his performing career Tyler has worked in Entertainment Management for us here at Boogie and also worked on some of the biggest events in London (BAFTAs, National Movie Awards, Pride of Britain Awards, Film Premieres, Frieze Art Fair to name but a few). Whilst performing Tyler has worked extensively in the Middle East, working in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras-Al-Khaimah, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Egypt. His knowledge of performance, management, events and the Middle East make him the perfect person to head up our operations in the area.

Holly Skinner – Operations Assistant

Holly graduated from Esher College with a Distinction in her Vocational Media Diploma in the summer of 2013 and joined BM shortly afterwards. With a broad-ranging interest in all things entertainment, Holly divides her time supporting the companies cruise clients as well as the Theatre & TV division organising rehearsals, auditions and production meetings.

Tracy Day - Accounts

Tracy Day has been our bookkeeper since 2009. Before opting for the life of freelancing in 2007, she held the position of Operations Director for a company providing residential care for young people followed by Finance Manager for an environmentally-friendly insurance provider.

Two children later, freelance bookkeeping provides the balance all mums strive for!

Alan Boyd - Technical Director

Alan’s career began as a DJ, quickly moving on to lighting bands and fashion shows.  Working as Stage Manager for Bourne Leisure Ltd at several large holiday resorts, led to designing and installing sound and lighting systems for 12 theme parks. A well respected lighting designer, Alan was Technical Manager at Alton Towers for 3 years, maintaining their laser ice shows, outdoor shows and ‘the parade.’
